Why Defeat is Just the Beginning - An Absolutely touching truth o Life

Why Defeat is Just the Beginning

Strange as this may sound, my personal experience with being “utterly defeated” didn’t come until I was 30. Obviously I had previously felt failure, had previously felt wronged, and had previously been motivated to incrementally improve my life. The type of aspirations I had for myself, the way I drove myself as an “A-Type” ensured that I labelled anything “imperfect” as a defeat or an anomaly.
However, my entire context of failure and defeat got reset the day I stood beside my 24 year old brother’s hospital bed in an intensive care unit and watched him breath his last breath. I can still remember the symphony of beeps and blasts coming from the monitors and machines, the tears, the utter disbelief. His frail body and chest coming to a final rest, tears streaming, the inevitable smacked me in the face. A wave of devastation, an utter lack of control, and a sickness to my very core swept over my body.
Unable to cope, I threw up in a hospital bathroom for a good 10 minutes…..
This marked the very beginning of a new era for me. A new way of thinking, a new way of living. All the cliches that have ever been written about seizing the day or living for happiness  sunk in violently and without further review.
If my brother’s example was to mean something, it would be that the new number 1 priority for me would be health. It would be balance. It would be fairness and justice. It would be the realization that life is frail, and that it was time to make myself healthy, to make my family healthy and to keep it that way.
It wasn’t a cake walk. For the next few months, my emotions were a nuclear winter.
I dragged myself to the gym – embarrassed, ashamed, weak, tired and frail, I started the process of lifting weights. I bought myself a nice car in rebel against the notion that I might die tomorrow, why was I saving all my money? I scheduled laser eye surgery, and the fitment of braces, 2 things I’d postponed and were frankly afraid to do for what seemed to be obvious health reasons (fear of mistakes). Now, I figured if they made a mistake or I suffered as a result, ‘meh who cares’, I didn’t feel anything inside anyways.
The same principles applied to my jaunts riding motorcycles, doing motorcycle courses, going on trips to asia, learning how to snowboard. The list of things I checked off the bucket list are immense, all approached with reckless abandon and disregard for personal safety.
My goal was to find my new self, a renewed confidence, a place where I felt that I had left no rock un-turned in pursuit of love (love of self first), life (leave no pursuit untouched) and enlightenment (how can I find my new safe place inside my mind?).
Remnants of my very high strung and entitled self remain, however, I am happy to report that I am on my way to becoming a better person, tempered by an event that I could not control. My focus on health has paid off in many ways, I no longer feel ashamed in the gym as I can definitely do my fair share of lifting and grunting.
I’ve also learned that the number 1 thing you can do is control yourself. The number 2 thing is to learn to love, to learn to tolerate, and to never write anybody off. I learned that we can all change, we can all grow, and we can all find an opportunity to remake ourselves.
This was how my utter defeat, literally became a new beginning, I hope you take the challenge when defeat or failure comes your way.

The value and function of iron in our Human Body

Iron is very essential to our Body
and also to most life forms
A deficiency of iron limits oxygen delivery to cells, resulting in fatigue, poor work performance, and decreased immunity . Iron is called the “energy giver” because
it is essential to our metabolism.

Iron attracts Oxygen and is a basic building
block of our blood.

On the other hand, excess amounts of iron can result in toxicity and even death .

In humans, iron is an essential component of proteins involved in oxygen transport .
It is very important part of normal human physiology.

Iron is an integral part of many proteins and enzymes that maintain good health.

It is also essential for the regulation of cell growth
and differentiation .

Almost two-thirds of iron in the body is found in hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen to tissues.

Smaller amounts of iron are found in myoglobin, a protein that helps supply oxygen to muscle,
and in enzymes that assist biochemical reactions.

Iron is also found in proteins that store iron for future needs and that transport iron in blood.

Iron stores are regulated by intestinal iron absorption .

Together with Manganese and Copper, Iron maintains healthy blood chemistry, facilitates
the transfer of Oxygen and helps with the
removal of Carbon Dioxide.

Iron deficiency is most common in women
but can occur in men.

Symptoms of an Iron deficiency include fatigue, sleepiness and a lack of energy.

Please watch these videos that explain very well the sources of Iron from daily foods , fruits and vegetables that are rich in iron..
Please add your comments below to help us give you more valuable inormation on health care from

Saw a video once that says iron is found in Cocoa and Dark CHocolates.. It is found in raisins, cashew nuts, peanuts, bitter gourd, apples, oranges, cereals, red beans, black eyed beans, leafy vegetables poultry, eggs and ofcourse spinach ( remember POPEYE )

Hear this Podcast on what not to do in Network Building by Dr Ivan Misner

Synopsis

This episode is a rebroadcast of Episode 107, from 2009.
Dr. Misner shares three networking faux pas that he’s run into over the years.
  1. Not responding quickly to referral partners. Don’t put off returning phone calls to your referral partners even if you’re not sure they have a referral for you.
  2. Confusing networking with direct selling. Networking isn’t about collecting business cards and then sending them sales pitches or making cold calls.
  3. Abusing the relationship. The worst example Dr. Misner is aware of is someone who disguised a sales pitch as a 50th birthday party.
Read Dr. Misner’s complete article on Entrepreneur.com.
What kind of networking faux pas have you encountered? (No names, please!)
Brought to you by Networking Now.

Dealing with the Vanishing Resource - Time

Airbnb. Pinterest. Square. These are just a few of the the hottest startups taking off today. People often marvel at how the leaders of these companies lead them to the promised land. What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur? What’s that secret ingredient that helps them persevere through the seemingly impossible? The answer is that there is no single ingredient that will make you a successful entrepreneur. In fact, there are multiple ingredients. In this post, 9 entrepreneurs chime in on the greatest struggles they face every day. Although the sample size is small, you’ll start to see some common themes start to emerge. The following entrepreneurs were asked this question: “As an entrepreneur, what is the greatest struggle you face daily?”. Time Lost time is never found again. – Benjamin Franklin tony hsieh zapposTony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos | Twitter “I think the biggest challenge is that there are so many great ideas but not enough time or resources to do all of them. The hardest part about being an entrepreneur is figuring out what not to do.” gary vaynerchukGary Vaynerchuk, Entrepreneur and Author | Twitter | Google+ Gary Vaynerchuk, author of The Thank You Economy and Crush It! gave his brief answer on Facebook: gary vaynerchuk Focus One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular. – Tony Robbins neil patelNeil Patel, Co-founder of KISSmetrics | Twitter | Google+ “My biggest struggle is focus. I have A.D.H.D like a lot of entrepreneurs and I want to do many things at once. Not just in the sense of creating multiple companies at the same time, but doing too many things within each company. Over the years I have learned to focus my time on one company and more importantly making the sure the company only does 1 thing… but that 1 thing really well.” Pat FlynnPat Flynn, Owner of Smart Passive Income Blog | Twitter | Google+ “Hands down, the biggest struggle I have an an entrepreneur is focusing on one project at a time. I come up with new ideas and get excited about them all of the time, so it’s hard for me to just put those new ideas “on the shelf” for later. In the beginning it was really tough, but lately I’ve been doing well at training myself to finish something first before moving on, or at least get to a good stopping point in a project before moving on to the next.” jason nazarJason Nazar, CEO of Docstoc | Twitter | Google+ “For me, it’s staying focused on the one most important thing. I ask myself the following question, ‘What’s the most important thing I can get done today, this week, this month to make the biggest difference in my company?’ Then make sure you spend the majority of this time solving those problems. Most of us don’t do this. Most of us have a long list of shit to do – STDs. We spend our time on these things, but these don’t help our businesses grow and move forward. There’s often a very small set of things that if we do right will make the biggest difference in our businesses. They’re often the hardest to do so we put them off. But if we continue focusing and leave those STDs alone, I promise you your business will grow.” Sean KellySean Kelly, Co-founder of H.U.M.A.N Healthy Vending | Twitter “Waking-up every morning and first deciding what I’m NOT going to do, being ok with it, and sticking to it…while simultaneously breeding a culture of “Yes!” around me that pushes our team to come-up with new, creative improvements on a perpetual basis. This is a tricky balance that I’ve forced myself to learn over the years and am still far, far away from perfecting.” Building A Great Team Recruiting is hard. It’s just finding the needles in the haystack. You can’t know enough in a one-hour interview. So, in the end, it’s ultimately based on your gut. How do I feel about this person? What are they like when they’re challenged? I ask everybody that: ‘Why are you here?’ The answers themselves are not what you’re looking for. It’s the meta-data.- Steve Jobs Rand Fishkin Rand Fishkin, CEO of SEOmoz | Twitter | Google+ “I’d have to say that for me, it’s the ability to build the right team. This isn’t just hard once – it’s hard every year because it’s a new and different challenge each year. The right people for a 5-person consulting shop are vastly different than the right people for a small software startup, and sometimes, even those “right” people don’t grow and scale successfully as the company matures. We’ve had some phenomenal folks come through Moz, but only a subset have stayed on. In my early career, I thought that was a sign of failure, disloyalty, bad hiring and mismanagement. While I’d say that those are sometimes to blame, it’s also true that individuals and companies don’t always take the same paths, particularly in a fast-growing startup environment. Becoming OK with that, learning to seek out the right strengths and managing the transitions – sometimes up and occasionally out – has been my biggest struggle.” Jake WoodJake Wood, Founder of Team Rubicon | Twitter | Google+ “Surrounding yourself with the right people. Everyone around you must share the same vision and passion; if those don’t align, then your endeavor is bound to just limp along.” Emotion Ben LererBen Lerer, CEO of Thrillist and Jackthreads | Twitter | Google+ “For me the biggest struggle is dealing with the emotional ups and downs. I love Thrillist so much that a bad day at the office can physically hurt and the highs are downright intoxicating. I’ve gotten better at keeping things in perspective but its still tough to carry so much emotional baggage around in my professional life. Man, I sound like a whiny bitch. this ok?” Conclusion Time, focus, team building and emotion are the just the tip of the iceberg – figure out what you struggle with the most and then work on optimizing processes to make your life easier. With love we create positive energy with fear we propagate cynicism and negative energy

Here  are the Most Inspirational words I have ever read
Just couldnt resist sharing this source with you
If you are touched and inspired then I shall thank you for your Comments below
Source of this article is http://www.joywithlove.com/?page_id=2

This is a page about Following your heart and: LOVE, GROWTH, and CREATIVITY In good times and in bad times we always have a choice to act out of love or fear. With love we create positive energy with fear we propagate cynicism and negative energy. This page is to discuss how we can act with love in: - what we do (work), explore our creativity - how we relate to others (friends) - how we treat our family members - how we relate to our society - how we treat ourselves The idea is to encourage people to share their experiences, anecdotes, quotes, and anything that creates a more tolerant and loving and creative society. Our inspiration is the quote by Marianne Williamson in ‘A Return to Love’ (from the chapter ‘Personal Power’): Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be – brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

The best Message of Valentine's Day I received today - Happy Valentines Day -

Happy Valentine's Day Pankaj Sampat! :)

Just wanted to send you a little love note today
to let you know how much you are LOVED!

We always have an infinite supply of love
within our hearts and all around us... in fact,
I believe that love is really our true essence.

And in being LOVING, that's how we really
unlock the treasure chest of love within us
and invite more of it into our lives.

The more love we give, the more love we
experience! :)

And although fancy gifts, chocolates, and
dinner dates are fun... love is really all that
matters.

And I truly feel that one of the best gifts of
love we can give another is the gift of our
PRESENCE...

That means being quiet inside and not
allowing the monkey mind to be jumping
around from thought to thought, thinking
about what you're going to say next or how
the conversation relates back to you...

It means truly paying attention, listening...
intently and deeply.

When we're present and we're truly listening,
we start to feel an expanded sense of
understanding and compassion...

We "unite" with that person in such a way
where love is allowed to flow through both
people, freely and powerfully.

In presence, we're able to touch, taste, and
experience the love that is always there.

So today (and everyday), give the gift of your
presence to those you love in addition to whatever
else you have planned...

It's a gift to both you AND your loved ones.
Everyone experiences more love, which means
there more love to be shared and celebrated! :)

And in the spirit of Valentine's Day, I also
wanted to share one of my favorite videos with
you...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpVUih5nY9g

It's a song by MC Yogi called "Give Love" :)
I think you'll really love it!

Enjoy!  My heart is smiling at you today and
sending you all the love that is present in my
heart :)

Love,
Katie Freiling

No one can motivate you - you have to motivate yourself!

No one can motivate you - you have to motivate yourself!

Robert Roder: I really love what Steve shared here with everyone about "There are 'passive Associates' and 'Teambuilding Associates' - ONLY the 'teambuilding Associates' will be the ones at the NOW event.  We respect everyone has a choice to be either either 'passive' in Talk Fusion or be a 'teambuilder' - personally we only have the time to work with the 'Teambuilding Associates' ...and those are the ones going to the Talk Fusion NOW convention in Tampa, in April"  This is 300% spot on Steve! Bottomline is if you haven't yet registered, you are holding back and hurting your Talk Fusion business. Committment is the name of the game and this is the very best committment you can ever make for your Talk Fusion business. So what in the world are you waiting for if you are truly serious about moving up the ranks? This is where we seperate the players from the spectators, go register today if you haven't already and let's get on with it. Are you IN?

Bob Reina: Show me ONE PERSON IN THE WHOLE WORLD that has ever been passive about their dreams and still had them come true- show me- they do NOT exist-

Bob Reina: And respectfully to everyone, do NOT use $$$, or lack thereof as an excuse- if you do NOT have a little bit of disposable income, this should be a SERIOUS WAKE UP CALL FOR YOU and YOUR URGENCY AND COMMITMENT to your dream MUST be stronger than ever!

Bob Reina: Let's see who is a CONTENDER instead of a PRETENDER!

i just want not to miss anything from this chat

Robert Roder: I can tell you the difference it made on my team from those who attended the last Vision Event last August in Tampa, Fl. It was incredible!!! My business stats soared through the roof.  Ron Wright from Texas was a Sliver ranking and shot up to Diamond Elite in weeks after attending the event. Thomas and Eve Carter shot up to Diamond after attending the event, Mark Genovese shot up to BLUE DIAMOND shortly after attending the Vision event! All of them and many others who achieved rank advancements all agree, the Vision Event is what made the difference for them and the NOW EVENT IS GOING TO BE EVEN GREATER! BE THERE! (sun)

Robert Roder: IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! (party)

Bob Reina: exactly right Rob!

2. Fever & Common Cold: The leaves of basil are specific for many fevers. During the rainy season, when malaria and dengue fever are widely prevalent, tender leaves, boiled with tea, act as preventive against theses diseases. In case of acute fevers, a decoction of the leaves boiled with powdered cardamom in half a liter of water and mixed with sugar and milk brings down the temperature. The juice of tulsi leaves can be used to bring down fever. Extract of tulsi leaves in fresh water should be given every 2 to 3 hours. In between one can keep giving sips of cold water. In children, it is every effective in bringing down the temperature.
3. Coughs: Tulsi is an important constituent of many Ayurvedic cough syrups and expectorants. It helps to mobilize mucus in bronchitis and asthma. Chewing tulsi leaves relieves cold and flu.

Very Lovely article by Sr Sri Ravi Shankar that came in the DNA

Mechanics of action Sri Sri Ravi Shankar The dynamics of how events happen is a big mystery. Only one who is 100% in doing can recognise the happening. The healthiest way to apply this knowledge is to see the whole past as happening and the present as doing.

If you see the past as doing, then ego and regret come along.

And when you see the present as happening, laziness and unawareness set in.

Let the happening be for the past and the doing for the present.

And the future is a mix of both.

The wise will see the doing in happening and the happening in doing simultaneously.

One who does a lot of work will never say he
did a lot.

If someone says he did a lot of work, it that
means he can do more.

He has not done enough.

Work does not tire you as much as the
"doership" does.

All actions happen through consciousness.

The world moves because of consciousness. Consciousness expresses the three shaktis as — gyan shakti, ichcha shakti and kriya shakti. Knowledge, action and desire.

If these shaktis are aligned, life becomes very smooth. If not, life is in doldrums.

Ichcha shakti is desire, gyana shakti is the power of knowledge and kriya shakti is the power to act.

Some people have lots of kriya shakti, but lack gyana shakti. They have the power to act, but there is no knowledge of what to do.

When this happens, people become restless.

There are people who are not so active - lack of kriya shakti. Such people will simply sit quiet but their minds will go on working.

Then there are people who lack ichcha shakti. They lack the desire to complete the action and their minds keep changing. Lethargy is manifestation of lack of ichcha shakti.

A perfect balance of these shaktis is very rare. Desire, awareness of the Self and action all are manifestation of the same energy that is you.

One of these three dominates at a time.
When desire dominates, awareness of the
Self will be at its lowest.

That's why all the philosophers around the world have always advocated renunciation and dropping of desires.

When you are in a state of awareness, happiness dawns and when desire dominates, stress and sorrow take over. www.artofliving.org
