Can't understand Why People don't like to put up their videos

Imagine how interesting our world will be if all of us send
videos of ourselves to our friends,family
and let the world hear our voice and meet us in our digitalised form

I mean I just fail to understand the resistance from everyone
I know and ask "Please let me make your video and put it on
facebook , youtube or even send as a video email" and they say
na na na na not now Let me come well dressed .. I am not in mood
for it..I don't know what to say

But friends a video is the modern mirror for us to realise how
we are coming across when we speak in real world actually
to people. In fact you should be enthusiastic to see for yourself
how you are sounding and looking to people when you are in
conversation with them rather than being in any illusion that you
are really a top shot...

Its really ok in the beginning if your video disappoints you
I strongly believe that doing is better than not doing and
we got to make a beginning someday and over a period
of time we will learn the ropes, the style, the words and
the voice will get better and better with each video

Let our videos be our mirror for finding ways to improve on
our communication and how to come across very spirited, clear
and engaging.. Technology is allowing us access to ourselves so
why worry what others will feel and comment to the
real you..And anyways you really are a live video of yourself

Uncovering your prospect's secret hot buttons...

One of the biggest keys in getting people to come to
you is knowing what buttons to push.

Simple as this may sound, it's actually not as straight
forward or as easy as one might think.

It can take some serious organized thought.

Anytime you give your prospect any kind of
message, you have to thoroughly examine it and
make sure that the things you're trying to sell them
are the things that really matter to them.

To this day, despite the fact that I've had this self-
evident truth repeatedly drilled into my head from
countless sales and marketing courses, I still find
myself at times selling the wrong benefits to my
audience.

I've learned that it isn't enough to just walk a mile
in your prospect's shoes... you have to LIVE in
them.

Pinpointing and fulfilling their true wants and needs
is something you have to obsess over. It needs to
become the predominate thought in your mind.

So let me ask you: In OUR industry, what are our
prospects really after?

More money? More time? Freedom from the 9-5?

Nope.

These are just surface desires that are plainly visible
to anyone at first glance. You have to look past the
obvious. You have to go deeper than that.

(Unfortunately, rarely does anyone in mlm ever
emphasize anything beyond these things).

How about more specifically: Enough money so that
they can take that trip to Italy they've been wanting
to do for 5 years? Enough money to pay off all their
credit card debt and their car loan so the only major
monthly payment left is their rent/mortgage? How
about enough time freedom to start exercising for
45 minutes every day like they've always wanted
to?

That's a little better and yes, they are after these
things... but it's still going in the wrong direction.

These are all end results and they are important, but
there's still a huge gap in between where they are
now and where they want to be.

It's your job to fill in that gap.

See, what they're REALLY after is a way to obtain
these things.

A "how."

And contrary to popular belief, network marketing is
not a how. It's a "what."

If money, time, etc were really all that your prospect
was looking for and network marketing really was
the answer he needed, then merely telling him that
your opportunity can give him a six figure income
while working part time from home would be all
that was needed to sign him up.

Does it work that way? No.

That's because in reality, network marketing
MIGHT be a way for him to achieve all those things...
it's just that he hasn't been convinced of that yet.
He has to clearly see that it will work for him first.

Network marketing is just a vehicle and vehicles don't
operate themselves. People need to be shown how to
work them.

It's no different than stocks or real estate - both
vehicles that can help you reach an end goal.

No one needs to be convinced that it is POSSIBLE
to get rich through those two vehicles. Everyone
knows that.

But what they don't know is HOW to use those
vehicles to get rich. That's the missing puzzle piece
that's keeping them on the sidelines.

Same thing with m.l.m. The desire is already there
(provided you're doing a good job of targeting the
correct audience). If you can just give them the how,
they will flock to you in droves.

The most burning question your prospect has is:

"Is this going to work for ME?"

They see all the circles and the commission levels
and the big payouts and even all the success stories,
but they need to know how all that's going to happen
for them.

It's very hard to visualize a legitimate six-figure-a-
year business being built from the ground up using a
hastily thrown together names list of all the people
they know.

The way you fill in the blanks for them and answer
the question of how it's going to work is by
emphasizing the most crucial component of any
business: The marketing system being used.

This is the most important benefit of your
opportunity.

(That is... unless you're using warm market/cold
market prospecting. In which case, this benefit has
basically been destroyed. Because if the way you
came in touch with your prospect was by butting
into their lives with a sales pitch they never asked
for - whether they already knew you or not - you've
just shown them exactly how they would be doing
business if they joined your opportunity. And that's
not good because no one wants to be a sleazy
salesperson. On the other hand... if your marketing
system drew them to you first and all you did was
wait for the call or open your email inbox to find
someone who wants more information, how much
easier do you think it would be for them to visualize
themselves doing what you do? After all, it got them
there didn't it?)

Most people in our industry go nuts about the
product and the comp plan and even the timing of
the opportunity, but none of that means anything to
a prospect because that doesn't tell them HOW
they're going to be able to make it work.

Even if they really ARE getting in on an opportunity
that's so unique it really does only come around
once in a lifetime, so what? They still have to market
the products and the opportunity to other people to
make any money don't they? How are they going to
do that?

A good marketing system answers that question
because it, above all else, will determine their
success or failure.

It gives them the "how" instead of the "what" -
which is what they're really looking for.

If you can successful convey this to them, you've
made a bullet-proof case that's literally left them with
no reason not to take the next step.

When you target the right audience, the question
is not whether or not they want what you're offering.
The question is whether they believe it will actually
do what you say it will.

Two local, independent, retailers have ‘found’ me through Twitter – one is in the centre of Norwich in a very prestigious position and has made some great sales for me, the other one is relatively new, but in a very good retail location in North Norfolk.
I was put in touch with another online retailer via a Twitter friend and am now on their site.
Through Twitter I found a local independent coffee shop, initially just as somewhere to visit, but for whom I now make jewellery out of coffee (and machine parts, as above) for her to sell and customers of hers have become customers of mine. That works the other way as well, Twitter is all about quid pro quo…
The local business network is invaluable for contacts as well as advice – it has taken some time to develop this community, but it is now turning up bespoke requests, attendees at parties, and has even resulted in me turning to a new business stream. A Twitter contact asked if I could mend a beloved bracelet and I now mend costume jewellery that mainstream jewellers may not touch, or might charge too much for (I jokingly started doing this as ‘The Jewellery Doctor’ – but it may have stuck)
However contacts are made, they can always lead to new opportunities and being in the city centre boutique brought me to the attention of the local press, who recently did a two page feature on me (The lady who makes junk into jewellery) which definitely turned into business as I could have sold a number of pieces several times over – this would never have happened without Twitter bringing us together in the first place.
New selling opportunities are flagged up and passed on to me via tweets – events where I can have a stall for instance.

I don’t really sell online for myself, other than a Facebook shop, so without Twitter I would still be struggling to get my jewellery out there. Don’t get me wrong, it needs me to constantly work at it, being a ‘personality’ if you like, and you may see that most of my twittering is not to do with jewellery!

If you need a summary from me then, it is that I know I’m not going to take over the world with my little sideline, but it is doing just fine thanks to the Twitterverse.

Do you Leverage your Time?

My UK friend Bethany Johnson has this post on her interesting Blog
which I thought you MUST read

Why is it that some people earn £20,000pa and others earn 5 times that, £100,000pa and more? Do they have extra hours in their day? Do they have a secret access to an extra day or two in their week than we do?

So why do they earn more money than the rest of us? The answer is they know how to leverage their time. So HOW do we do this? Wealth is created by money working for us or people working for us, we are leveraging off their efforts. So if we have money to invest it will generate income for us without us having to do very much but if we haven’t got that money in the first place then we need people to do it for us!

So as Women in Business how many people do you employ? Can you afford to do this and if you did would they eventually leave you when you have trained and shown them all aspects of your business, would they set up shop down the road and perhaps be in competition with you?

The reason I am writing about leverage is that I had to re-educate myself and learn new methods of acquiring income.
As an Intermediary to the Corporate world with clients repeatedly being targeted by larger competitors, I was constantly reducing margins to maintain the business until eventually clients were taken at a loss from me by a large Corporate determined to have a stake-hold in the UK market place. How can one compete with that? There is no loyalty in the Corporate world. I came across Professor Charles King who received a Doctorate at Harvard Business School, now Professor of Marketing at Illinois University and who realised you can have a business without much Money and without Employees. As with many universities around the world, Network Marketing is now a professional business model taught at University Business Schools.

Three basic Principals to this intelligent methodology to be critically considered.
      
1. Expanding Markets. The business must be within a huge expanding market with the focus on a product or service category that will be global.
2. Unique and Consumable. If the product/service is not consumable you will be unemployed until the next sale. For example telephone calls or electricity provide repeating commissions that pay multiple times for one initial effort.
3. Timing & Trends critical for financial wellbeing. In all cycles there are people making money and people losing money. For example during times of recession chocolate sales reach record highs as it is a consumable comfort food in times of stress. Consider what creates trends, for example the ‘baby-boomers’ born after World II after 1946. In the USA 76 million babies were born at this time. It was predicted that baby food would be a great business, then children’s shoes and toys. Then these same people in the 1970’s wanted houses and this became the Real Estate boom, then in the late 1980’s the baby-boomers having bought their homes the sector began a slow downward slide. The trick is to identify the coming wave whilst it is a trickle of water not yet a stream, on its way to the river eventually to the sea to build to the wave. So right now what are those same baby-boomers worried about?

So we could employ others? You can leverage off people by getting them to work for you. You take a portion of their earnings. However, this is difficult to do as they don’t work as hard for you, remember how do you treat a Hired Car? You need to create a situation where everyone gains.
An example from the Real Estate sector. Bob the Broker engages Robert as an Agent to sell buildings to earn 3% commission on the sale of the building. Bob the broker earns 3% as he trained Robert, as he advertised for the properties etc. As Robert is an agent working for himself…. It is in his interest to work hard…..Bob the Broker hires more agents…Bob the Broker has leverage…..but the agents do not have leverage and that creates a conflict……so Robert the Agent will cut away and leave…..and start a business down the road. The Broker loses an income source. If Robert shifts from being an Agent to being a Broker with Bob receiving a smaller commission and Bob continues to help Robert to do well, Bob will also do well…….working and sharing everything…a Win Win situation. Robert does not then become a competitor and Bob having trained him well will continue to benefit. This is how Network Marketing works.
